Barbie - Swan Lake (DVD 2003)

Barbie has been produced for young girls. I have a daughter who is nearly five years old and it hits the bullseye, as do all the other Barbie films.
Animated dancing, goodies, baddies, handsome young princes, attractive young ladies, ugly stereotypical tyrants (in the nicest most light-hearted way).
There is always a triumph of good over bad, kindness over nastiness etc etc.
It is a simple young girls fantasy film.
You may find most adults find it cute as well.

Another great Barbie movie. My daughter loves Barbie & this was the only one missing from our collection. A worthy addition.

The reason i borught this dvd was for my children it looked very good .The children raely enjoyed the film they thought it was very magicel.

Great introduction to classical music, my daughter loved the story which was loosely and I mean loosely based on the ballet. She has yet to get bored of it but we live in hope ...

A beautifully made DVD with an easy to follow story and beautiful ballet. Could do with a little less of the Barbie stuff before it starts, but the DVD is worth getting, even with this on it! The Barbie Nutcracker is lovely too - my little girl loves them and they are no problem to have on (as some DVDs may be somewhat irritating for adults!).

my little girl loves all barbie dvds! watches it all the time. they are always excellent story lines!!

Skilfully animated - quality throughout. Dazzling effects with a clever reworking of an old story set to Fantastic classical music. Choreography( the dance routines) were actually computer modelled on REAL New Yorks top Ballet dancers -how much effort do Mattel go to? ALL THE WAY! BRILLIANT!! Since i have watched this movie with my daughter we were dazzled by its dancing charms that booked tickets at The Grand theatre Leeds to see The ENGLISH NATIONAL BALLET Company perform - SWAN LAKE - Utterly FANTASTIC, CHARMING and AMAZING!!!! BOOK TO SEE THEM you wont be disappointed. Back to the Barbie DVD watch the Ballet documentary in the more fun features section, very good and dance inspiring. 10 / 10 for overall; enjoyability, quality, values, story line. watched again and again. Recomended ---- all the Barbie Princess Collection. P.S sponsor the English National Ballet if you have a keen interest in ballet.

This has got to be one of the best Barbie films. And to top it all it has beautiful music all throughout - what a gem! Highly recommended!

daughter loves barbie dvds and didnt have this one, couldnt find or at a great cost in shops so found on ebay and she will be very happy, good product good price and received promptly

This DVD is brilliant and just as good as the other Barbie DVDs available! I bought it originally for my 6yo sister who has plenty of Barbie in her DVD collection so I knew she would love this as well! Even though this DVD is aimed at younger children, I always find myself wanting to watch it too! Excellent DVD, beautiful animation/pictures, brilliant sound and we all love it! Another highly recommended Barbie DVD!

I think this dvd is fantastic and my 3 year old daughter adores it.

Its educational to a certain degree as it teaches about the ballet Swan Lake and thanks to the dvd my daughter is now a huge fan of the ballet Swan Lake (I had to buy her the music cd) and knows the story off by heart.

There are extra bits on the dvd like games and stuff which meakes it all the more fun and I can safely say that any little princess wannabe will love this film.

My little girl loves this dvd and as hers got broken had to buy another one. she adores barbie and every new barbie film that comes out she must have. A great collection to have when you are 7 years old.

My 6 year old daughter is a big barbie fan and loves all the barbie films. She watches them all over and over again.
I've never watched them, but can hear the classical music coming from her room, which sounds wonderfull!
