I bought this for my daughter as she loves anything Barbie like most little girls. This dvd didn't dissappoint. What more can I say any Barbie fan will love it.

i bought it for my 3 year old daughter as she is barbie mad at the moment and loves the films. it seemed very reasonably priced and the free p&p helped me to decide to bid on it too. the cd is in great working order with no scratches and my daughter hasnt stopped watching it since it arrived. it arrived extremely quickly also

Having converted most of my old video collection to DVD I was thrilled to find this film gem in digital format. If you watch this in widescreen format, it really does the battle scene great justice; coupled with surround sound, you'll be gripped by the amazing cinematography. I would recommend the director's cut that includes scenes about the relationship between the lead character and his estranged wife and helps you to understand the motivation behind his decision. The run time is 183 minutes for the directors cut and 120 minutes for the cinema version. I was, however, disappointed by the lack of extras, which any fan of this classic would expect to be included. There's only a 20-minute interview with the director and other shot "making-of" vignettes.

Problem with playing the DVD in English.Review created: 08/01/08

We bought this DVD for our 8 year old girl for her stocking but unfortunately it will only play in chinese. It works on the computer but not the TV. It has Chinese written all over the cover as well as English. We are not sure why it only plays in Chinese.We had to explain that perhaps Father Christmas got mixed up and gave a Chinese girl one in English!
