Barbie - In The 12 Dancing Princesses (DVD)

My grandaughter loves this film, she will watch it as if every time is the first viewing! It is a modern day version of the wicked step-queen, with a handsome prince, a magical land and Barbie's Genevieve laeding the dance.

My daughter saw the trailer for this on one of her other Dvds and she asked me to get it for her. My children are mostly into Disney DVDs and as they are such good quality you tend to compare everything else with them. This DVD is definitely on a par with the disney princess range. The story is a wonderful fairy tale which has the timeless fairy tale theme - beautiful princess, doting father, evil cousin, handsome suitor and they all live happily ever after!! As my daughter is only 3 and I had never seen any Barbie dvds before I was sceptical about purchasing this but I am pleased to say that it is a movie for all ages and even though they would never admit to it my sons have watched it along with their little sister as well!!!

My kids love this film. It is a wonderful story with ballet dancing princesses and my daughters think this is wonderful. The movement of barbie and the other princesses is so life like that is what makes it so special. The music is excellent. It awakens the dancer within you. Even I like it.

my daughter loves barbie and this dvd has played almost non stop since delivery a week ago. I`m sure i could find time to watch too but the bits i have seen seem well animated. A worthwhile buy to keep the girls happy :-)

It was purchased for a nine year old girl who just loves Barbie. She was adamant that this was the one she wanted. This is a typical girlie film and it was very colourful and just the film young girls would love to watch over and over again. I must say that I enjoyed watching it too (once only for adults though).

i bought this item for my 4 year old daughter she has seen this film before and really enjoyed it mainly cause of the dancing she loves to try and copy barbie

Great dvd. It has already become a favourite. Lovely traditional story. My 3 year old loves it already.Its now a favourite of hers. I like it to!!!

i bought this dvd as my daughter is a big barbie fan. She loves it and has already watched it at least 20 times in the short period she has had it.

Skilfully animated - quality throughout. Dazzling effects with a clever reworking of an old story set to great music. Beautiful story line to love again and again! Choreography( the dance routines) were actually computer modelled on REAL New Yorks top Ballet dancers -how much effort do Mattel go to? ALL THE WAY! BRILLIANT!! Since i have watched this movie with my daughter and Barbie's SWAN LAKE + NUTCRACKER we were so dazzled by the dancing that we have now booked and seen at the Grand theatre Leeds The English National Ballet Company perform - SWAN LAKE. it was fantastic check out there website for shows(put their name in search engine). Back to dvd watch the Ballet documentary in the more fun features section of the dvd, very good and dance inspiring. 10 / 10 for overall; enjoyability, quality, values, story line. watched again and again. Recomended - all the Barbie Princess Collection.
P.S. watch Barbie's Princess and the pauper, wonderful singing duets, song lyrics and music. barbie hits another 10 out of 10 especially for the funny outtakes at the end of the movie..- GREAT!

We bought this as a "break seal in case of bordem" present for a long car journey. Our daughter is 4 and gets easily upset and a lot of the current popular U rated flicks. This was perfect, with princesses and dancing and a story that does not pull at your heart strings it ticked a lot of boxes for us. Its now her fav flick! Recommend for girly girls any day of the week!

great for a girly night with my 5 year old, all the usual barbie fun and music. beautiful colours, and a great idea for friends sleeping over. This one entertained 7 under 6's while i made cookies.

A nice item perfect for any little Barbie fan,my daughter loves all the Barbie movies,but this is one of her favourites-lots of dancing and music!!

love it. bright colourfull full of catchty tunes. good verses evil. its for the princess in all of us!instead of buying a used dvd i opted to buy it new. because of the free p@p it actully made it cheaper than buying second hand.

A lovely girlie story - a must for all little ballerina's - definately captures the imagination ;o)

Bought to entertain my little 4 year old daughter, the animation is very good and very colourful and the stories she can really get into and almost become part of it, great for giving her ideas and for making up her own little stories and she likes to dress up the same as her to become part of it, so stimulating for her mind and great fun for her. There is also a host of these films for her to collect and become part of and it excites her every time we get another new one. Would recommend for any little girl as long as she enjoys it, my 14 year old still sits here and watches with my 4 year old!
