Bang & Olufsen A8 Consumer Headphones

I think the item I purchased is fake so buyers be very careful when purchasing. No reply when seller challenged.

The item I bought looked as if it were genuine when seen on the E-Bay site but when they arrived the goods were counterfeit. The seller had been removed from the site and I thought I'd been done.

The seller did return my money but minus the return postage so I was in fact turned over by this seller. Let this be a warning to you. Not all of the goods for sale on E-Bay are the real thing. BEWARE.

Recently I purchased some Bang & Olufsen A8 ear phones and although I have not had them that long they are still working perfectly. Also have remained in mint condition the sound quality produced by these earphones are literally un-believable I have never in my time come across any sound even remotely similar - unless the price was extremely high. I am also pleased to add that once I purchased these ear-phones I reccomended them to my brother and he also bought some. Once he bought them he also had the same disbelief in the clearness of the sound.
I must admitt the price was higher than your everyday ear-phones but your everyday ear-phones are absolutely nonthing like these. Now I have these I have no regret what so ever and would be enclined to purchase more from this brand.

when used for longer than about 5 mins the left earpiece farts om the bass notes at any volume, so basicly this item is useless! thanks

My son paid around £90 for a pair of B&O headphones earlier this year and they sound great and I wanted some to take on holiday, so of course checked out EBAY. Surprise surprise there were lots of them at a quarter of the price so I presumed they were maybe not quite genuine, despite the claims. In a fairly level market place I decided to check out the feedback for various merchants and so felt quite confident in my choice of 'buy it now' deal. They came very quickly and under close inspection they looked the same as my sons, it's just the quality of the 'leather' pouch that lets them down - it's plastic. But down the the really important thing - the sound quality - perfect! I was so delighted and felt very smug to have only paid £25. My son was impressed too. Went on holiday, turned up the volume and lost myself in some good Ministry of Sound vibes around the pool - idyllic stuff.

Excellent sound quality - well worth the investment. Would recommend for people who enjoy music on ipods.

The Bang and Olufsen A8 Headphones are the best ever made. I get the same sound quality as i get from my Bang and Olufsen CD player with Active speakers at home.

This is a quality item that I was more than happy to purchase. I had wanted to purchae one for some time but always missed out. So I turned to E Bay and found that there were reputable sellers and pruchased the item in total confidence.

If you are considering getting these then pull the trigger - well worth the money and easily the best headphones for ipod use.

The shape fits perfectly to your ears. The sound quality is perfect and it is worth the investment.Best quality product from B&O.

Hey folks...dont buy B&O earphones on ebay...they are fake/counterfeits...
the quality of the headphone suks...and even though u wanna purchase some...
ask the seller question whether the headphones are genuine and does it comes with warranty...???
and also see the return policy...

I recently won a pair of these earphones from my local B&O store. I have B&O throughout my home and absolutely adore the sound, so expected some great things from these.

Maybe it's because I'd been using in-ear headphones previously which completely shut off outside noise, but I just can't get on with the A8s at all.

Fair enough, they are crystal clear, but I've heard better music as a third party from the headphones of the person sitting next to me on the train. No bass whatsoever, and if I activate the bass boost on the iPod, it just distorts.

Another thing no one has mentioned on here is the fact that the cord is designed to drop in front of you, so you can't hang them round your neck if you need to take them off briefly.

Also, because of the over-ear design of the arms, it is impossible to comfortably wear sunglasses at the same time as the headphone.

I'm surprised B&O have the nerve to put their name to these, let alone try and charge £90.

Save your money and get some Senheisers.

These headphones are designed to stay the ear without going right into the ear canal, like the plug types. They do acheive this, holding in place most of the time, however when you move your jaw you can alter the position, which is critical to the sound. The sound quality, when you do get the earphones exactly right is superb, clear, sharp with good bass without blocking out the outside world too much like the earplug types, and when you use them while walking or jogging you dont get a thudding sound of your own footsteps such as with plugs. I would say they are well worth the money, after all, I bought another pair after breaking my other ones despite having other pairs of earphones. They are better than my Sennheiser CX300, but not as good as my Rado SR60, but much smaller, more portable. Mind you, there are a couple of little niggles from a design point of view: the cable coating is not flexible and rubbery enough, its more plastic, this means it is more susceptible to breaking with repeated twisting, which of course happens with a product such as this. The loops that go around the top of the ears could be a bit more flexible, I would like to be able to bend the tips back because after a few hours I notice they can rub a bit and cause a little discomfort, its not much but still, room for improvement!

They are very comfortable, great sound, expensive but worth it if you require small headphones get these ones...

I have always wanted to try a Bang & Olufsen product and found it less embarassing buying over the internet then asking for it in the shop. I found its design refreshingly unique and comfortable and the sound quality excellent. I am hard to please on the sound front but found this product lived up to its name due to the wonderful all rounded crystal clarity of the sound.

the sound quality is amazing and they look great, but the build quality could be better and they are pretty pricey
