The best ever made WWII TV drama. A MUST HAVE, INDEED!

Five bars aren't enough to rate this DVD!
It starts with recruit preparation of the boldest USA soldiers, The Paratroops (with no disregard meant to the other Men and Women who fought for freedom during this conflict). These elite soldiers had a less then 50% chance of surviving. They were all volunteers.
It focuses on Easy Company, a platoon commanded by Captain Winters and their journey on occupied Europe, which started on D-Day and ended on V-Day.
All characters are based on real Men, whom give their testimony just before any episode starts, and further on the special features DVD.
Every scene is so intense that makes you gasp. It's an about 10 hours of epic History, masterly dramatized. If you are interested on WWII, you have to have this, and after you've seen it, War and your perception of it wouldn't be the same. Propaganda WWII Hollywood movies will just seem that afterwards: propaganda!
Spielberg's best of the best technical expertises. Without the lame vein to make you cry at the end, instead a cruel true vision of war and the Men and Women within. Millions of Men, Women, and Children unfortunately died on both sides, to reinforce this, in my opinion, is never too much, in order to keep us wake and prevent it from happening again. It's not the bravado, the medals, the daring, the boldness; instead is the necessity, the fear, the willing to endure and see another day, the pure luck or bad luck, the friendship, the love or hate, dying or living. All in the name of duty, all in someone else's name and very, very, few times in the name of justice, as the Allies Forces during this conflict fought.
Not enough words or images can give you the pain and hardness, the courage to do what had to be done, the friendship that kept them alive, and everything else those Men had to endure during WWII conflict, but "Band of Brothers" is as close as it can get to show you that.
I leave here my deepest and most considerate homage to all Men and Women, also their families, whom fought, died in and lived this monstrous war, in order to liberate us all, even today. As Leonidas and their Spartans saved Democracy, so have this Men and Women done the same and much, much more. They must never be forgotten.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much.
