How To Be A Ballet Dancer (DVD 2005)

I decided to buy this as I have a 3 year old niece who is ballet-mad! When she found out that I used to be a ballerina she wanted me to show her all the steps I knew. Unfortunately she lives too far away for me to be able to teach her regularly and her mum couldn't afford lessons so I bought this DVD for her. I watched it first to see if it was suitable and it's perfect for beginners. It has ballet information and teaches basic steps in a professional but really fun way. And she loves it! She watches it nearly every day and gets plenty of exercise by joining in.

A Fantastic start to any budding little ballet dancer, and very easy to follow, my 2 year old copied all the moves.

I bought this for my 2 year old grandaughter who loves dancing. She watches it for hours and tries to copy. She is due to start ballet classes in September and I thought this would give her an idea what to expect. She is now very excited about going to class and keeps asking to go.

We bought this because we had borrowed the dvd from the local library and there were tears when it had to go back.
Genevieve (4) had not watched anything similar before but is enthralled by it! It begins from the very start- the little girls go to a dance shop to buy there ballet outfits before class. The special edition version which is what we have has little tutorials that are easy to follow and entertaining. The dvd moves fast enough to keep their attention without being rushed.

i'd give it 4/5 only because some versions do not have the tutorials.
