| Description Marcus Burnett is a happily married family man. Mike Lowrey is a smooth-talking, freewheeling bachelor. Both are cops in the narcotics division of the Miami police department. When $100 million dollars worth of seized heroin is stolen from their police station, the mismatched duo are forced to switch identities to placate the only witness who can lead them to the drug lord responsible and save their jobs before the FBI closes them down.

The film is less than original, using every buddy cop cliche from Lethal Weapon,Beverly Hills Cop, Last Boy Scout to Tango and Cash. But the film works because of Smith and Lawrence's chemestry. The stars spark off each other, from one funny situation to another, even the unoriginal role swapping sub plot is brilliantly hilarious. The film never misses a beat with it's foul mouthed banter. The action is great, and this being the first feature from the now megga budget director Michael (Transformers) Bay sets all his trade mark slow motion camara rotations. This was a pretty low budget film,even back in 1995, but you would have never guessed, as the movie has a high budget sheen on every frame. A brilliantly funny action movie.
