A great movie, but not exceptional

Atlantis continues the recent trend of unconventional animated movies (which began with The Emperors' new groove, which by the way is hilarious and if you don't own it you'd better have a good reason) with Atlantis. It is a really good movie with a great voice cast; Michael J. Fox is perfect as the slightly nerdy hero, James Garner is a great villain and Don Novello is, at times, hilarious. This movie is like a comic book come to life, and even though parts of the story are a little sketchy, and the dialouge sometimes too fast or unclear, the animation is breath taking and the movie very enjoyable
It contains no songs, which is a good thing because even though Disney songs are usually great, they would be out of place in an action adventure movie such as this. Don't expect a cutesy fluffy bunny movie, but top-notch special effects action sequences. One thing which really annoyed me was a character called Mole. I hate him, and without him, or if his character was less zany, I probably would have given this movie five stars.
A departure for a Disney film, but well carried. A definate must-see.

) I bought this movie because I remember loving it as a child (and because it had the voice talents of Leonard Nimoy in it and the man is a legend). It is a lovely family movie with some funny, some hysterical, bits in it, as well as serious stuff. It's got a good solid storyline and the depth and detail of the animation is beautiful. All in all: win!

Brilliant service, received very fast and in excellentLove Disney films and was able to addto my collection. I am sure this film will be enjoyed for many years to come. My daughter is too young at the moment to fully apprecaite the magic of Disney but I am sure she will love it. Thanks again.

) The films where for my children and the first film was fine but the second film was scratched and kept freezing on us whilst watching a little disappointed and would have returned if wasnt so cheap, a bit more info would of been appreciated about the condition of the discs.

) this film i liked but in places i nearly fell asleep. it is a good storyline and lets face it anything goes when atlantis is talked about or included in films so much mystery, but for children it is great and aimed at them, so from a childs point of view it would be an eppic adventure conjuring up great story's in their minds. a good storyline and finish with excitement (remember for children not adults.

Atlantis - the lost empire dvdI purchased this as I am adding to my children's Walt Disney DVD collection. getting rid of all videos.
This movie is action packed and as far as I am concerned, well worth adding to the collection. As with all Walt Disney movies, you can watch this again and again and never get sick of it.
