By Any Means - Charley Boorman - Series 1 - Complete (DVD)

was delivered very quickly and was prefect condtion. very happy will but again as my partner will ove this for christmas.

I baught this product as i am a fan of Charley Boorman after watching him in long way round, long way down with Ewan Mcgregor then went on to watch race to dakar with just Charley which i would recommend all of the above if not watched already. This film was a bit different as this time charley goes from Irland to Sydney traveling on what ever transport is local to the country they are in, from buses to tuk tuk's.

i loved watching this dvd i wached it wen it was on tv and just had 2 get it. its 1 of them things u can watch over and over

Think it's fair to say most people know of Charley through his Long Way Round/Down travels with his pal Ewen McGregor. This time he fronts it alone.

He starts at his childhood home in Ireland and travels to Australia by any means of transport available, avoiding commercial transport. Like all these travel/adventure prog's, you get to see some fantastic countries, and "meet" amazing people, but this has the added bonus of seeing some amazing and often unusual modes of transport. Charley is so enthusiastic you can't help getting engrossed.

I loved this prog, i felt as if i were travelling with him. I laughed (mostly at producer-pal Russ's idiosyncrasys) and even shed a tear with poor cameraman Mungo. It's very engaging and something you can watch over and over again. Although be warned - it's very likely to give you the travel bug!

I originally saw this on t.v and loved it so much that i bought the DVD so i can see it again. You'll enjoy this if you liked the Long Way Down/Round prog's.

we loved the way charley made the whole adventure so enjoyable, by useing so many ways to get across many countrys. with mungo and russ.
its a great way to sit back in front of the telly om a rainy night and just soak up the fun and travel.
should have had more motorbikes !

Riveting viewing. Its not just the vast amounts of transport means Charlie uses, the scenery is spectacular and the people he meets along the way are fascinating. I watched the whole thing through in one go so, dont expect to get much done while the dvd is on.

Thoroughly enjoyed this series, and loved the idea of going through each country on different modes of transport. Great idea.
