Tygers Of Pan Tang - Animal Instinct (CD 2008)

Firstly it is without doubt the best album they have produced since Spellbound although for me it even exceeds that! It captures the band as they were but with a whole modern vibe to it. The production is fabulous, you can here the full spectrum of sounds capturing the Tygers sounding like a band rockin out without dripping in effects or the likes. The songs are catchy (Cry Sweet Freedom, Hot Blooded) and pacey (Bury the Hatchet, Let it Burn). Some lyrics a little tongue in cheek (Rock Candy, Cruisin) while others thought-provoking (Let It Burn, Devils Find a Fool). There's dynamics (Winners & Losers) and there's power-pace (If You See Kay, Live for the Day). You can listen through this whole album without the urge to skip a track and if its in the car it'll go round and round without it doing nothing but grow on you. Its quite simply a belter!
