well have not seen it yet AS ones again i have be sold a copy of the film. its not the real thing its a pirate copy.

This DVD is a great one to watch,and listen to especially,and if you understand Latin?,so much the better....it's set in The vatican mostly and stars Tom Hanks and Ewan McGregor.Tom Hanks character is Tom Langdon,an expert symbologist and of ancient clues to solve where the acts of sacriledge against the Vatican,and to prevent the death of four Cardinals.Ewan McGregor is a Scotsman,playing an Irishnam in Italy???.....it's a wee bit convoluted and barely threads it's way through the 'clues' Tom Hanks character has to find.If you are a student of Latin?,you might unde3rstand and possibly like this "Angels & Demons" DVD a wee bit more?.

i rate this movie highly,it is first class but it is easier to understand if you have watched the di-vinci-code first.

Not too bad, same old same old! Just as incredible as the first film. Likeable if you are into mystic, religious, complicated, obsessive, behaviour!! In general very entertaining.

fantastic film thoroughly enjoyed it. read the book first and was so excited when the film was released that i decided to buy it.

Saw this film initially at the cinema and I thought it was great, hadn't seen The Da Vinci Code first which I was told I should have done. I have both films now which I intend to watch more than once. Truly a brilliant performance by Tom Hanks.

Good follow up to the first film and was not dissapointed as sometimes a follow up film can not be as good as the first.
Tom Hanks is really good as the lead.

There was a lot of the dvd that had been changed and was not the same as the book. It would only have taken a few special effects to make it as good.

The book was fantastic and really spurred me on to watch the film which is quite gripping although I would urge you to Buy the book first which you cannot put down.
A few twists and turns in this fantastic plot with a slightly altered plot line to the book changed to create a more factual style film.

this was a very good movie with lots of action and the story line was very good but i was a bit disapointed that it didnt follow the book storyline which was excellent but all in all very entertaining viewing.

bloody brilliant not as much going on as in davinchi but still a craking good film tom hanks gets into the part as per norm .... cant wait for the next one

Recommended viewing.If you've read the book you won't be disappointed as it's as close as you can get to the plot in 2 1/4 hours.Hank's is up to his usual high acting standards .Ewan McGregor,in a seemly inappropriate role plays his part with conviction.There are also some sightly obscure but recognizable quality actors.All in all,a lethargic start but accelerates to flying finish.

I had high hopes for this movie when I went to see it at the cinema. After the success of the Da Vinci Code I was hoping to encounter a similar experience with Angels and Demons... I wasn't disappointed. Tom Hanks steals the show with his portrayal of Robert Langdon. I don't know about anyone else who has read the book, but he is exactly how I imagined him to be! The movie sticks to the majority of the plot but obviously couldn't include every aspect of it. To all those who criticised it for not sticking to the plot completely; WAKE UP! How long did it take you to read the book? A day? Half a day? A week? You try putting all of that onto the big screen and see what happens. That's the best thing about adaptations; if the movie misses anything out, you can just read the book and all is well.
The movie is brilliant. Brilliant acting, Brilliant adaptation and an all round great watch. I would recommend it to anyone whether you have read the book or not, its a gripping movie full of mystery and suspense and i can't really think of any negatives

Loved this film, the story line was compulsive and had so many unexpected twisits & turns, this is why I can't wait to read the book. Its worth watching even if just to see all the beautiful architecture of Rome. Tom Hanks is as good as he was in the Di Vinci code, if not better. As always with Dan Brown, thought provoking and spiritually inspiring in places, what ever beliefs you may have. Would highly recommend!

I was disappointed with the movie, i understand there where elements from the book with time & budget constraints that the producers couldnt do but after reading such a great book i was very disappointed with the movie, the casting of Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon was a good choice and Sir Ian Mckellen another good choice.

Okay, I know the whole thing about 'THE FILM IS NEVER BETTER THAN THE BOOK' that is thrown around by the purists but I think they are missing the point..... A Book is a Book and a Film is a Film .... Two different Mediums offer two different forms of entertainment.

Angels and Demons was always going to fall into this category of comparison. Firstly the Book is brilliant, Dan Browns short chapters really give it a sense of pace and meaning. I know the book snobs will disagree but Browne does write great thrillers. The Film also is a fast action paced adventure with the brilliant Tom Hanks at the Helm. From start to finish the film certainly trumps The Da Vinci Code movie but falls slightly short of its full potential of the book mainly because the film cant be 5 hours long.

The book captures the characters thoughts, mood and gives you the smells and the inner most fears of a character which is impossible to convey even by the most proficient of actors; whereas the film sets a thrilling roller coaster ride of Adrenalin that for 2 hours keeps you glued to the screen which no book ever could achieve.

In summary, in my humble opinion threat yourself to both as both will give you something the other doesn't (Including in the start of the book how Langdon gets to Cern!).
