This film is a work of art. It's full of subtle hints and symbolism that you miss completely first time through. However, you'll want to watch it over and over again, picking up more and more things every time. This has been one of my favourites since it first came out, and I was delighted to replace the tired old VHS with a new DVD. Recommended if you like clever, well-crafted and visually effective movies. Avoid it if fast action or romance is your bag.

) Excellent atmospheric thriller! Got it after seeing Mickey Rourke in his new film The Wrestler, it was nice to see what a good actor he was years ago. Director Alan Parker's style of film is apparent all the way through so Parker fans would enjoy this film. De Niro and Rourke have a lot of one line statements in the film which can be seen on youtube take a look! Highly enjoyable film! Allan

Angel heart is my favourite film of all time. I decided to get this product as I had lost my previous dvd when moving home.
The direction of the film is superb.
Robert De Niro and Mickey Rourke are fantastic in their roles.
I find the subject matter fascinating and the story is so well written.
I always see something new every time I watch the film and must have seen it at least fifty times!

I had this film on video and had been looking for it on DVD for ages. I found it on ebay and just had to buy it. I got it for a really good price and the DVD was in excellant condition. I was thoroughly pleased with my purchase!

this film catches lisa bonet(hot) & mickey rourke at his peak & de niro turns in his usual class performance
the story follows(rourke)harry angel PI who has been hired by(de niro)cypher to find a missing big band swinger.The story goes from angels' NY to new orleans surrounded by voodoo influences(the film catches the atmosphere well).As angel traces his man each person who gives him information later turns up murdered in gruesome circumstances.The longer he,s in the south the more the voodoo seems to surround him enter (bonet)epiphany who translates/guides/warns angel about messages/meanings
this film is brilliantly directed when i first watched it i knew nothing about it so when it came to the finale the ending blew me away just didn,t see it coming,so telling no more not an action adventure but great story well told must watch till the end
