Reviews Review created: 27/06/08 by: I had been looking for sometime for a copy of this film on DVD, it is a classic film reflecting the Golden Age of companies like Hammer and American International. The film stars Peter Cushing and Stephanie Beecham who does a great deal of the screaming mentioned in the title! Indeed, she must have made herself ill with all the screaming she had to do. Wonderfully atmospheric filming certainly helps with the story line and look out for "The hand"! Review ID: 10000000007720947 Was this review helpful? It's sins-of-the-fathers time again, with a disembodied hand avenging the rape of a servant's bride by an ancestral member of the Fengriffen household. The sufferers of the curse are Ogilvy and his pregnant bride Beacham, but fortunately Dr Pope (Cushing) is on hand to explain all. The film might more accurately have been called The Screaming Never Stops, because Beacham screeches incessantly throughout, an effect more wearing than suspenseful.
