One of the best CD's I've bought for a long time!
Does'nt have a bad track on there!
The CD has a mixture of jaz and soul music and appeals to people of all age groups.
Don't let what you read in the paper about her put you off buying the CD

I think its going to be one of those albums that takes its place in the hall of fame, but we're all going to be extremely bored with most of the overplayed tracks on this CD.
Its not Amy's fault.....good tracks always get killed by the radio, and Im already sick of 'Rehab', and getting the same way with 'Back To Black'. My favourite track is 'You Know Im No Good'
As with all albums, not every track is great, and Im not a fan of the slower ones.
Its just a shame that this girl will probably be dead within a year, judging by her V Festival performance...she looked absolutely awful.

she is a talented singer with her own distinctive style. a very enjoyable album, worth getting the delux edition for "valerie"

I like all of amy whinehouses tracks and i decided to buy the album back to black because i think she is a great artist.

What I love about this disc is the genius of lyric and music writing. Back to black, as a single, is compelling and arresting and gives the faintest of glimpses into a brilliant talent; the irony is that it is the artist's own undoing of what could be a charmed existance.
What I dislike about the CD is that it is impossible to listen to it without the mind dredging up those images of the artist that show her self destruction, degradation and humiliation. A far cry from the beautiful girl who first broke through with her awesome throw-back sound and image.
Despite the drugs, which I despise, I cannot but help remain an avid fan of this orginal and unique sound. She has the ability to echo and etch pain in every note. Which serves the listener to wonder is Ms Winehouse dying aloud before us? The constant escapism to drugs, to mute her pain, would sadly suggest yes.

This album, is, Soul music at its best, from, a very talented artist. Distinctively, classic Motown in style, this album, has been said to be,one of the greatest, soul albums ever made. As a soul fan, I have to agree. This album is truly stunning, and fault less.
It has all the essential motown instrumentaion, Sax,catchy bass lines, chopped guitar chords ect. Amy's Distinctive american sounding voice, great songs, and lyrics, make this album, an instant classic.
Stirs the emotions, likeMotown does, after all, isn't that what Soul musics about.
This album took me completely by surprise, after only hearing one song in the charts. I cant rate this album highly enough. A must, for any Soul, and music fan.

this is a great album, brought the first one but wanted the extra tracks that came alone with this one..

Excellent CD all of her best songs in one package including the award winning 'Love is a losing game'. Highly recommended.

Love Amy's voice. Lyrics start to grate on the nerves after a while though. Needs to get a bit more cheerful at times.

well im 60 years old and i think amy whitehouse is the tops .she has such a great voice and i really love her music .i love all os the cd and glad i bought it.i did give it good but im changing it to excellent. so i hope this will do for your review kate

Loved the favourites -Back to Black,No Good and Rehab, found most of the rest ok but a bit of a downer, great to listen to if you are feeling low (misery loves company) but if you are not in that place you really need to love Amy.

i only wanted 1 song rehab of it , didnt like trhe rest so gave it away i didnt know what the rest of the music was like but it wasnt my style

Beautifully produced songs from Amy, sultry, emotional and far too mature for a girl so young. I can't stop listening to this varied album. Try it!

This is a fantastic CD - its Amy at her best. The combination of music and her talent is perfect and if you haven't got it you should :-)

Everything that can be said probably already has been .. it'll probably end up being a classic.. its interesting and as expected

Absolutely love the album and the artist, hate the record co for milking the fans with the extra disc in this package..... That said, the reggae covers on the 2nd disc just go to show what a genuine talent Amy Wino actually is !! Buy it if you can get it for the same price as the original 1 disc version, if not - DONT !
