So far this year I've bought just one album and it's by this uniquely gifted lady, a breath of fresh air in every way and for me a beautiful bringing together of those timeless female blues singers of a lifetime ago (I think of Nina Simone, Billie Holliday, Etta James, Dinah Washington and Ella Fitztgerald) together with a contemporary edge that will send the hairs stand up on the back of your neck in a way none of her peers can do. It's haunting, it's tragic, it's blunt and irreverent but it might just bring tears to your eyes even if you can't quite say why. It will move you, take you backwards and forwards in time and at last you'll be able to say 'YES. They DO make them like that any more.' Amy Winehouse is the real thing, let's just hope she can contain all the influences of superstardom that sometimes threaten to blow her apart. Hers is a very special talent, let's embrace it while we can.

This CD was brilliant - Amy has had a bad reputation for not attending gigs etc anyhow, I bought the CD - Brilliant. In July I went to see her play at Eden in Cornwall - what a farce that was - she left the stage three times at least, the band were confused but kept the crowd going. Conculsion - Amy Winehouse is a good recording artist but rubbish at performing live - therefoe its my opinion that if you like to listen to Amy do so in your living room, car, office but not live or you will be disappointed.

i absolutely love amys album she is brillinant every song has meaning to it and the words are powerfull and so true to life my little girls loves her songs to keep it up amy! u a gwarn bad!

Through she is wasted out of her mind alot of the time these days, you cannot say the voice is not something special and does not belong to a truly great artist.

A really good album,a big improvement on her previous effort.I decided to buy this as I don't do downloads and didn't want to pay more than a fiver.The cd was perfect but the case was a bit shoddy for an item labelled as new.Nevertheless still a good buy.

I was very impressed with the music that had been released in the form of singles originating from this album and was not dissapointed by the album itself from which they came.I ignored all the media hype about the ladys privater life and purchased the album with a clear and open mind. Winehouse is an instant modern classic in her performance and projection and melodious interpretaion of the genre.

The cd I bought off ebay was sold by a rip off merchant who sent a cdr copy of the original and ebay and paypal have done nothing about it.

loved the cd but there was nothing advertising that it was a copy cd.Other than that i like the cd and it was a good buy.

I had only heard small brief snatches of Amy Winehouse and was interested to hear more .She reminded me of the 1960's jazz singers which I was a fan of .
Very pleased with her sound and will by more .

Excellent music from one of the best finds in the music buisness for years, a real gutsy vocal singer She has plenty of feeling in all her music and after this CD she just seems to get better. Americas loss when they refused he entry into the country for the awards. Another outstanding collection of songs from AMY and just check it out you wont be dissappointed . Hope you all enjoy!!!!!

Fantastic album, the greatest voice and lyrics in a long time. I was so surprised that I found this to be one of my favourite albums at the moment, it was one my husband brought and we have completely different tastes in music.

this is a truly great album, accessible to most people, amy winehouse is an incredible performer who can communicate a lot of emotions with her voice. this album has won 5 grammys, and they were all well earned.
