Just as good as the original

Better the the second and just as good as the 1st.
This film is very funny just like all of the first 2 but also has its moments of seriousness-that end up being funny anyway.
Some hilerious scenes, like when Jim asks her to marry him but he gets the wrong idea..Stiffler going into the gay bar and stiffler having sex with Jims Nan!
Well worth buying it!

I've seen the film before quite a few times. It is definately the best of all the American Pie films. My boyfriend and I watched it twice over the weekend.

Not As Good As American Pie 1 & 2
Review created: 16/08/08(updated 16/08/08)

Doesn't measure upto American Pie 1 or 2, but still a great movie, just missing that wow factor to get it a 5/5

Some hilarious moments...
-In a restaurant Jims attempt to propose gives Michell the wrong idea, asking her to "use her napkin" (intended to have a ring inside it) Michelle looked at him in an aroused fasion, then responding " I have my own techniques" then passed under the table pulling down Jims trousers and giving him a mind -blowing- shock!

Stiffler intends to go to a club, and relises hes in a gay bar once hes inside!

And last but no least. Stiffler mistakes Jims gran for Michelles hot cousin (Yeah sure it was dark Stiffler)

A Good Teen Comedy

American Pie: The Wedding (DVD 2004)
Review created: 10/04/08

Breasts, bits, sex and swearing: welcome back teensploitation.

The leads in this third slice of pie may be graduates, but their characteristics remain the same. Finch (Eddie Kaye Thomas) is still a square, Stifler (Seann William Scott) a jock and Jim (Jason Biggs) a self-confessed perv, about to marry his nympho girlfriend, Michelle (Alyson Hannigan).

As franchise fans will expect, getting hitched isn't hitch-free.

Within 15 minutes, Jim's lost his trousers twice - once when proposing, then meeting the in-laws. Dog molesting, excrement-eating and pubic hair problems follow, as the gross-out genre gets a kick in the noughties.

So, then, not exactly Shakespeare - although the Bard wasn't averse to a spot of smut. In fact, from As You Like It to The Canterbury Tales, popular entertainment has long had recourse to groin-centric humour.

Simply, it's fun. Crude and lewd, yes. In bad taste, no question. But The Wedding will make you laugh. American Pie re-started a cycle of teen sex comedies which, to use the vernacular, blew. Even its sequel sucked - reducing the characters to cardboard cutouts, souring the sweet kids of the original.

AP3 is just as crass, but includes just enough sweetness with the sour. Jim is a likeable everykid, but it's Eugene Levy who injects heart, as the caring father given to sharing too much information (Your mother can still make me squeal like a pig).

Amid the effing and grinding, there's a moral message to the movie. Making a marriage work requires compromise and sacrifice, says Jim's dad, while his schmucky son tells his bride-to-be, I think you and I are a perfectly natural, normal thing.

Brief and underplayed, these scenes are sentimental without being cloying: promoting acceptance amid the buffoonery and bawdiness. Some things still sit uneasy - the stripper sequence feels degrading - but the target audience will lap it up. No sniggering at the back.

TOP NOTCH.. DONT MISS IT!!

Another slice of the gross-out pie in which Jason Biggs' Jim and Alyson Hannigan's Michelle have to overcome in-laws, strippers and Stifler to finally tie the knot
The title says it all really: in the latest American Pie instalment, pie-lover Jim (Biggs) is set to marry his flautist sweetheart Michelle (Hannigan), that is unless all the usual tasteless hijinks get in the way. For better or worse, American Pie is back, but unlike the funny, profane, yet thoughtful 1999 first episode, The Wedding sees the formula turn stale.

That there's a gaping hole where most of the other cast used to be (namely all of the young female characters except Michelle; and Chris Klein) is noticeable, but that Stifler is now elevated to an almost starring role in the film shows how far scriptwriter Adam Herz has turned the ensemble comedy premise around.

As Jim and Michelle prepare to wed, they're aided by (Jim's) best friends Finch (Thomas) and Kevin (Nicholas) who mostly try to elbow Stifler out of the proceedings. It's Stifler's attempts to infiltrate and potentially ruin the wedding that take over, and provide some of the film's funniest moments.

Seann William Scott may not be the most versatile actor, but his mugging and complete lack of vanity in a dumb-but-funny gay bar scene are at least amusing and infectiously idiotic. Although we're encouraged to despise him, it's a good job he invited himself to this otherwise sober celebration.

Verdict
The Wedding pushes its juvenile jokes and some supremely tasteless gross-out comedy again. Fans of the series will enjoy it, others should decline the invitation.

  Wedding Cake or Wedding Pie??
Review created: 25/03/08

Excellent!! Excellent!! Excellent!!

When American Pie first hit the big screen, then DVD, I gave it a very wide berth. I took it as the usual shoddy American coming of age tat, full of humourless sexual gags. How wrong was I!! Well apart from the VERY FUNNY sexual gags!! Which have become less in this film I think to reflect the characters maturing.
Usually in any sequels, most films begin to lack what the original gave. This can never be said of American Pie 1,2 and this number 3 - The Wedding. All these coming of age films have been one hell of a rollercoaster ride. What better a way than to finish than with Jim (the unsung stud!), and Michelle (the former band Camp geek!) being wedded. Straight from start to finish, the story plays out brilliantly. From his restaurant proposal to michelle, to the final act of the wedding itself. Finch, Kevin and Stifler are still around to help out, but as usual things don't go exactly to plan. Its a change of charaacter for Stifler when he meets Michelle's younger sister, Cadence, and a battle of wills with Finch ensues. Infact, Stifler (Sean William Scott) virtually becomes the star of the show. A must see is his gay nightclub scene, where he struts his stuff brilliantly! In true Stifler fashion also, is the lost wedding ring scene, where he's feed the ring to the dog! Mmmm, lovely truffles :)
Don't sit here reading this though, buy it now, it's funny as hell.

  The Pie does it again
Review created: 10/02/08

Oh yes when you think that there is nothing more that those guys can get up to you have the flowers dying the night before the big day, pubic hair flying in through the window and landing on the wedding cake and the stiffmyster having a fumble in a laundry cupboard with granny. I think my ribs ached the first time that i watched this film. I'm not a big fan of sequels ut this film left me wanting to see more and wondering what the writers could come up with next. Make sure that you have the tissues before you watch this film, not because its a weepy but because you will cry laughing.

Very funny sequel in this franchise. This film contains one of the funniest, most stomach turning and cringe inducing moments in film history that had me squirming, laughing and gagging all at once, look out for the 'chocolate truffle' scene!!!

who would of thought it, sh1t break and stiffler competing for the same girl. the battle between these 2 for the girl is alot better than the actual wedding story line and i especially like the dance off between stiffler and the faggot in the gay club. over all its a funny film and carries on being hilarious from where the other american pies left off.

I first saw this movie at the cinema and just had to get it once it came out on DVD.
This uncut version includes extra scenes from the bachelor party which were not shown at the cinemas. Surprisingly however it isn't that dirty or as rude as the previous American Pies.

The film is absolutely hilarious and makes a great final instalment to this awesome trilogy. Stiffler of course is the best character with him at his funniest in the 'gay dance' scene.

Overall, a damn good film with great laughs & thankfully not as much sex!

American Pie 3 - equally good if not better than no.1
Review created: 07/08/06

Great end to the trilogy, as funny and well written as the first. Stiffler eating the dog sh*t makes me crack up every time - very funny movie moment.

Charicters have developed well and the stag night is pure gold. For light entertainmet you can't beat it. If you liked the first American Pie you will not be disappointed with this one.
