Album Notes The multi-million selling queen of Celtic new age ends the five-year hiatus since 2000's 'A Day Without Rain' with this, her sixth studio album. Feverishly anticipated by her devoted fanbase, it does little to mess with her tried and tested formula of haunting, multi-overdubbed vocals and trancelike, Celtic-influenced synthesizer melodies, except that on this album she sings in more languages than before. Produced by her long-term collaborator Nicky Ryan, it includes the title-track single. | |||||||||||
Reviews Review created: 03/05/07 by: 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. This was an Enya cd we needed to further collection. We like enya's music and find it relaxing. This cd is slightly different from her arlier ones in that for one track she has created a language, but far from detracting from our enjoyment this adds to it Review ID: 10000000003475548 Was this review helpful? After nearly five years from her last album 'A day without rain', i knew this album was going to be special! On my first listening to the album i was completely blown away. The first track 'Less than a pearl' made my body tingle with pure emotion and reminded me instantly why Enya in my opinion is easily on the best artists in the world. Each track from 'Amarantine' is emotional, beautiful, memorable and for lack of a better word 'heavenly'. Personally i believe that music is all about emotion, and the emotions you receive from the music. I don't listen to anything if i don't feel anything from it. Enya's albums are always worth the long wait and 'Amarantine' is no exception. I cannot wait until the next new album..... Review ID: 10000000003437761 Was this review helpful? I have always been a fan of Enya and New Age Music - so this one was definitely a must have item! I find it excellent music to unwind to, and Enya has one of the most pure voices in the easy listening category of music. Review ID: 10000000002356210 Was this review helpful?
