Alpine SPS-13C2 Coaxial Car Speaker

I bought these Alpine 2 way speakers as part of my in-car audio system. I am happy with the reproduction and they compliment the other speakers and sub woofer in my system very well.

They produce a lovely, crisp, well defined sound in the high frequency range. They do have one drawback, however, and that is the bass reproduction. I feel that the bass output is rather poor for a 5.25 inch speaker. Certain bass frequencies are not reproduced very well and other low end frequencies are not very well defined, as I feel they could be.

I would only recommend the purchase of these speakers if they were to be included in a car audio system that had sufficient bass, either with larger rear shelf speakers or a sub woofer.
