I bought a car (through e-bay) unfortunately the CD multichanger was absent although the head unit and all wiring were present. This unit replaced the one which would have been supplied originally.
Fitted in seconds and works well.

Easy to connect to BMW E46 via the BMW interface box and it works perfectly.
It doesn't jump when driving over bumps and it changes between cd's very fast. It does not support MP3 cds, but neither does the BMW standard stereo. It is a class A laser product, not surprisingly as Alpine is a quality product.
