Alison Moyet - Singles (CD 1999)

I decided to buy this CD because when I was growing up I couldn't afford to purchase the music that was about at the time. Now I have spare cash I have decided to compile music from my teenage years.

Alison Moyet is an excellant artist but aprt from the few chart topping singles that she had I hadn't heard many others. I bought this album because it was a compliation and had all the tracks that I knew and liked as well as introducig me to others that she released.

I would recommend the purchase of this album to anyone who does not currently have a CD from this artist but wishes to buy something that covers all of her styles.

I loved listening to Alison Moyet in the 1980's and had previously bought an album of hers which had mysteriously gone missing! I decided to buy a compilation of her hits as it had been a long time since I'd listened to her. I'm glad I did, I wasn't disappointed. Her voice is wonderful, and sadly not heard often enough nowadays. The CD I bought was in perfect condition and has been played a lot recently. I am very glad I bought it.

I know Alison Moyet since long time and I want her whole history. This is a 'must'.
A CD with her top selling and most appreciated songs. A very good selection.

Great to hear the voice of a queen, forgotten how good the greatest hit cd was, takes me back a few years ( but not too many) fantastic choice !!

THIS CD IS GOOD BECAUSE IT HAS ALL HER HIT SINGLES ON AND ITS A GOOD VARIETY

I love this artist & love shopping with badlands because i know that my cd will arrive in time. And Badlands are very profesonal.

I am not a dancer, but two of these tracks got me up and dancing straight away (Situation and Whispering Your Name). I am not a lover of "old" Jazz/sultry blues, but That Old Devil Called Love and Love Letters had me singing and thinking of smoke filled clubs with well dressed people sitting at round, white table-clothed tables enjoying the ambience. This House made me cry, reminding me about lost loves and the dearly departed that I still miss. In short, listen to this and escape - every song is different! Every song a separate emotion. 6 of these tracks went straight into the "five star" section of my MP3 player; the remainder into the four star. Not that it matters - I have played the whole thing 5 or 6 times a day since I received it!

imo this lady is one of the best soul singers this country has produced , fantastic songs , great vocals , super album. cant go wrong with this if you
appreciate the voice of am.

Alison Moyet - Singles is a very good collection of her works. The album starts with her Yazoo era songs, then her chart topping tracks of her commercial years and then her interesting adult pop style. A must buy.

I like the eights electronic sound of the Yazoo songs rather then Moyet's solo work.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wicked album, passionate & makes cry! So good I got 2! First song is a bit naff, then it pickes up immediately with all the stuff you know (if your an eighties kid/teenager). A must have in any girls collection and a keeper. Bought one for me best bud too and shes not an AM fan, but she loves album.
