Finding yourself with one of the year's biggest triumphs and rewarded by your record company with a large advance to put in your deposit account may sound satisfying, but for Alf it has not been an easy ride. The crisp Jolley/Swain production aided its success, and Moyet delivered a stunning voice to match strong material. Together they composed all the tracks bar one, Lamont Dozier's 'Invisible', the third hit single following on from 'Love Resurrection', and 'All Cried Out'. Powerful. High-quality pop which she has so far failed to match.
