Ali Farka Toure - Talking Timbuktu (CD 1994)

A friend gave me a tape of this years ago and I've always wanted to get the full version on CD - can be expensive in shops and even Ebay.If you like Blues and want to hear the John Lee Hooker connection with West African music ( where many slaves were taken from ) hear this wonderful album. The track AMANDRAI is magnificent. We always call it I'm a Dry Cleaner in our house, because lyric sounds this way.It's a really dirty blues. What part Ry Cooder played is mysterious but I feel he helped. The late Mr. Farka Touré was a great blues artist and , it is said, a wonderful human being too. Listen !
