Alexei Sayles Stuff
Review created: 07/07/07(updated 07/07/07)

Stuff is an essential purchase for anyone who likes sketch comedy.Mr Sayle is both intellegent & very witty in his observational humour in all departments, especially socially.Very influential, underrated & at times side-splitting.Backed up by Angus Deayton,Morwenna Banks & among others the excellent, unsung, Tony Millan, the self confessed Fat B*****d delivers classic stuff including a door to door "salesman" who seems to specialise in cat boiling! The highlight, however, has to be the southsayer episode in which the mainman gives a genius take on sorcery & magic.Going back in time with great costumes & a whos who in the comedy world(then & now) the team take the mickey out of wizards, badly dubbed foreign B-movies,ancient dialect(check out when the chaps get a grilling from Im Alan Partridge "Lynne" on how they speak). This is a must for all the comedy lovers who were old & lucky enough to see it on t v when it was originally broadcast in late 1988 & all those new to this type of humour should look no further than "STUFF".
