Alex Parks - Introduction (CD 2003)

The distinctive voice of Alex Parks in a healthy mix of covers from fame academy and her own compositions.

Alex has really made a style for herself in this album.
Some of her own work sounds like the work of an artist that has been round the block a few times, not that of a newcomer.
She is one of the few singers I know that can cover a song and make it her own.
Alex maintains a completely individual sound that is recognizable. I imagine she could stay the distance if she can belive in herself. Part of her charm for me is her distinct lack of realization of just how good she is. Probably the least likely artist to turn diva!

This realy is a great album from such a talented young artist.Cd includes some realy good covers of songs such as- Coldplay's yellow and R.E.M.'s everybody hurts. The album also includes no less than six original songs co-writen by alex. If you watched fame academy then you'll know that alex has a unique voice.just listen to any song she sings and within seconds you'll know it's "alex parks". However if you missed fame academy and are thinking of buying this album then please do and i'm sure you'll love it as much as i do.

j'adore cette artiste !!! elle a une voix sublime. nous sommes en 2009 je la découvre donc assez tardivement mais je ne suis pas du tout déçue. j'espère qu'elle a eu un grand succès en Angleterre. comme quoi la télé réalité peut avoir du bon parfois...

When Alex won fame Academy I didnt take much notice of her or her singing. But I bought the CD (and the follow up album) a few weeks back and I love it. theres not one track that I skip over, which for me is a triumph. Alex has covered songs such as Here Comes The Rain,Yellow and Imagine and has put her own twist and mark on them all with her distinctive voice and feeling. There are some superb new tracks too, Cry, Not youre average kind of girl and Over conscious being 3 brilliant ones - well worth a listen to the lyrics. All in all en excellent album, virtually played constantly since I bought it and ive got a second copy for the car too! A1 Alex, come nack and do some more. The seconf album, Honesty is also a great album - with more new tracks than covers - as good if not better.

god this girl is terrible and im happy to give her a 1, i only bought the cd cos my wife likes her but she is pants, cant write songs and has a grainy voice, pooooooooooo infact
