Airplane is a comedy classic. It never fails to amuse me every time I watch it. It's so hilarious with references throughout it to many films in popular culture and airport disaster films.I've always loved that scene where Robert Hays and Julie Hagerty are dancing at the disco just like a scene from 'Saturday Night Fever.'With a stellar cast such as the late Lloyd Bridges, the late Robert Stack,Leslie Nielsen, Kareem Abdul-Jabaar and Peter Graves to name but a few this film will entertain you and have you laughing in stitches. It's funny, crazy, sexy, insane and good -it's Airplane.

Airplane DVD review - and dont call me Shirley!

For some reason I missed seeing Airplane when it first came out. I was first alerted to this little gem when watching channel 4`s top 100 (or was it 50?) greatest comedy movies of all time. Airplane came in at number 2 on the list.
The next day I grabbed myself a copy on eBay, I have watched it through many times and it still makes me laugh everytime.
If you dont find one of the jokes funny then you only need to wait another 10 seconds before another one comes out and hits you. Leslie Nielson is fantastic in the film, as are the supporting cast.
I honestly think Airplane is one of the best comedy films ever made, which other film contains so many memorable quotes such as:
Dont call me Shirley
I picked a bad day to snop sniffing glue
Tell me Jimmy, have you ever seen a grown man naked?
A hospital....whats that?
In short, if you haven`t seen this timeless classic then go and grab yourself a copy right away but done blame me if you die of laughter!

Airplane is slapstick comedy at its best.
In its time, it was an innovation.
The story is simple, everyone on a plane gets sick after eating the same food, including both pilots. Then an ex-Vietnam war veteran has to try to land it..
Very short and quick film, as it is really only a few sketches strung together.

Love this film, probably one of the funniest films ever!! Saw it years ago, and the whole film is so stupidly funny, if youve never seen it, then grab a copy its the best!! Just decided to treat myself to a copy, it just cheers me up loads! LOVE MY BEST FILM Airplane!!!
