The Adventures Of Robin Hood (DVD 2004)

Old films may well belong in the past, yet when you watch a film such as this it is difficult not to be dragged into that past like a leaf into the eye of a black-hole. This is the definitive version of Robin Hood - as colourful and vivid as brushtrokes upon a canvas.

First saw this film as a kid - my first Robin Hood film. Have seen most of the films that followed. I think that this is still one of the best and most enjoyable about the famous outlaw

This is quite simply the best version of Robin Hood you will ever see starring the best swashbuckler of all time, Errol Flynn.
For its time it was one of the most lavish films produced and it is still as fresh today as it was when it was made over 75 years ago.
I have most of Errol Flynns films as i'm a big fan, but even if your not i'm sure you will not be dissapointed with this film. It has action, romance, wonderful sets and an overall feelgood factor about it that you just dont get in most modern films today.
If you have never seen it, make sure you do soon. Try if you can to get hold of the special edition 2 disc version with loads of extras. A must, especially if your a fan of the great man, as it includes lots of out takes which is quite rare for a film of this age.
Enjoy the film for the masterpiece that it is.

the film i bought it a classic vintage film,i love all robin hood films and errol flynn was the best actor to play him,olivia de haverland was the best maid marion,you cant beat classic films especially at christmas,i have also bought sea hawk because iam a great errol flynn fan

This is, to my mind, the definitive Robin. Flynn swashbuckling gloriousy, Rathbone being villainous (and an expert fencer, to boot; probably could have licked Flynn without effort in real life!!) Gorgeous film without lashings of blood or foul language. Maybe I'm just a quaint old-fashioned soul! It is good fun though, and stands the test of time well.

My husband love this version even though its an old one.Disc and case in good condition.It was bought as a present.It was very hard to get hold of this version,but thankfully I found a seller who had it.

Myself and my brother have for years boasted to others that the best Robin Hood ever made was with Errol Flynn with great cast including the great Basil Rathbone, we are now in our sixties and they have only shown this particular film only a handful of times so i decided to look on ebay and see if one was available much to my surprize there were a few so as a tea time present which we as a family do at christmas i decided to buy him it and he was over the moon
As for his christmas morning present he is in to history and also from ebay i managed to buy a print of Bonaparte on canvas which i had framed i was very surprised with the quality and again have cotacted the seller for further pictures of great history.

a good film. even though the film is quite old the dvd has kept this classic film in good quality. like the way the film differs from the new robin hood films ,typical good errol flyn film

A blast from the past!Escapism at its best,watched this film loads when I was young,still find it entertaining yet(which is more than the tripe on TV these days!).I've always enjoyed Errol Flynn films as a youth,and continue to do so now.
