  Here's your chance to re-live the 80's!

Here's your chance to re-live the 80's those Sunday afternoon endless episodes of the 'A Team' are back should you buy this DVD. Great memories of 'Mr T', Hannibal and the unforgettable van! Wonderful, un-believable plots - it made me wonder how the scriptwriters managed to write for a total of 99 episodes over the 5 series! Fantastic trip down memory lane.

  Good End

THis is a final tribute to the A-Team, although the new additions of charectors somewhat affected the dynamics of the show you stil get the same adventure and humour from the other series. In some ways this series is more gritty than the others but it is certainaly not the best.

The A-team - series 5 Box set - The Final Series!
Review created: 06/03/08

Its the A-team in their final series - Is it good, should I buy it? - Here's my thoughts.
I love it when a plan comes together...but it doesn't this time..
Firstly they changed the title music for the final series, why? The original music is much better. Heck the musics almost as important as the van and Mr.T!
It gets worse - It seems to have been changed into a strange 'commercialised' program. There's none of the police escaping car chases, the fights last seconds instead of minutes, and they never make anything anymore! Gone are the home made tanks from forklift trucks, and the armoured cars made from three sheets of shed roof! And the all important van only occasionally trundles into shot as the team always seem to be stuck on a desert island or in some foreign country!
They also had the crazy idea of adding a 'team' member in the shape of 'Franky' who is special FX guy. How convenient! And there's no tasty 'Amy Allen' style reporter anymore! Who's idea was that!

The 'Team' have been commandeered by General Stockwell (Robert Vaughn) who says he will get the team a pardon (for their crimes & The Hanoi Bank Job) providing they complete a few missions for him. This is what the entire series is based on!

Its a far cry from the first couple of series - and in my opinion a damn sight worse! Dont get me wrong - its still the A-team but dont expect the original wham-bam-boom and vehicle bodgery like the first few series.

Im a big fan of the A-team having watched it first time around and subsequently ordering the box sets as I saw them on ebay, just so I can share them with friends or watch them for a bit of fun. Just stick to the first few series if you want don't want the 'magic' to be spoiled!

Da da daa, da di dah, dada da da dee dar.....

  The A Team series 5

This is a slight departure from earlier series. Deviation towards too much background storylines steers away from the classic all action shoot outs. Not enough 'inventions' and too much plot in this final series! Still plenty of classic 80's action though. shame it was the last series.
