A River runs Through it: a gift of a film
This is a beautiful film, carefully directed, and gently drawing the viewer into it's time and place. It is the story of a family, as the two sons grow from childhood to adult, and their close relationships, both with each other, and their parents. All the way through the story, runs the theme of the river, where the father and his sons fish for trout.
Narrated by Robert Redford, who speaks as the eldest son, the story threads its' way through the highs and lows of the family's lives and deaths.
I love this film. It stars some of my favourite actors, and the cinematography is stunning. I cannot fault anything about it.
