They are the best band in the world. I love all their vidoes and dvds they have ever made, their music will live on forever.

You need to be a Queen fan, I am, and thought it was great in the same vein as Night at the Opera.
would I buy it again?
Oh yes.

A Day at the Opera would have been better

A Day at the races is a pretty good example of Queen in their hey day but If you really want to hear them at their best than go for A Night at the Opera.
I suppose it must have been difficult for them to follow that album up with another winner but this is still worth a listen.

Queen - A Day at the Races

It was always going to be difficult for Queen to follow on from such a huge album previously and for some, A Day at the Races was disappointing. It contains alot of tracks that were based on Freddie playing the piano. This is great if you like this kind of style but if not, your left struggling. It does contain the hit singles Tie Your Mother Down and Somebody To Love on the other hand and also has Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy on it, which was another single.

I personally like the song White Man that appears on this album but to counteract this, I was not inspired by the song Drowse. The last track on the album is an interesting collaboration with a Japanese man who helped Queen write a song called Teo Torriate - containing both English and Japanese lyrics.

Buy it if the price is right.
