A beautiful mind is a delectable and delightful serving of movie material; genuinely justified by its well deserved 4 academy awards. This is Crowe at his utmost best, his performance is truly infallible. The plot harks tear jerking material in the most affirmative comportment. Being part of the viewer is a sincerely remarkable occurrence; you feel as though you witness Nash’s destructing struggles and successes at first hand. If your taste buds are yearning a slice of heart warming, tear jerking and emotionally engaging, then stock up on this DVD. It is an emotional rainbow, and a well delivered life insight into this extraordinary man. As well as this Connelly adamantly and fruitfully conduits the role of Nash’s muse and love. A must see movie for all citizens.

why i bought it?
because my brother is mentally ill and i was told that by watching this film i may understand him better.

I am not a Russell Crowe fan, but the film was recommended to me. So I watched it and I haveto say his performance through out this film is amazing. I found the film enthrallinge and had to watch it again which I have not done with films for a long time. The soundtrack is superb. As a previous reveiwer wrote "It is beautfully made and moving in storyline. The characters are constantly believable. The picture is practically perfect."
It is not the sort of film I would normally watch but I would recommend the film to anyone.

I'm not sure that's really needed with this type of film though. Run time is about two hours, just long enough and not too long.
