Philips PET707 Player

Recently bought a Phillips PET707 POrtable DVD with Dual Screen and am absolutely thrilled with it. The picture, for a small screen is crystal clear and the sound quality is also very good. It looks really stylish and the buttons are large, clear and easy to use. The battery pack is easy to take on and off and the battery life is 2.5 hours which is great because it covers a majority of films. All in all I would rate this product a 10/10!

Good picture and sound but they do pretrude from the headrest quite a bit and would have preferred them flat against it. No problems with jumping though on bumpy roads

I love the 2 screens, they are great for my 2 kids and avoid the fights.
It has a very good seat attachment system that is easy to use and easy to remove the screens when they are not in use.

we have had this about 1 week and so far we are really happy with it. We havnt experienced any dvd's jumping as one of the reviews says. My 3 year old can operate it in the back as the play and stop buttons are easy to distinguish. We got it for a really good price on ebay (in fact we had already bought it from Currys for £150 and returned it when we saw it on ebay). My only drawback is the fixing to the car - it does stick out rather and I think we may end up using the leather hold that is provided to strap it to the seat instead. There is only one of these though so I intend to ask Philips to provide another.

I bidded for this DVD player as a replacement for our broken in-car DVD player. It was good value for money (even when including the postage costs)and has been used already on two long journeys to help entertaion the kids. It has proved to be reliable, with no jumping when driving and the picture quality is very good.

I like the feature which allows you to use the screens separatel eg one for DVDs and the other linking to an external device eg a PS2. This has proved to be useful allowing two of my kids to play their PS2 while my other kid watches a DVD. Another good feature is that the screen with the attched DVD player has two headphone sockets, and the other screen having one. This allows my wife and i to enjpoy some peace and quiet when driving or to listen to some music (without the kids asking us to turn it down!). RTo be picky it would have been beneficial for the 2nd screen (without the DVD player) to have a also have a second earphone socket. However, I got round this by purchasing a splitter for about £2.50.

Another plus feature is the rechargable battery, which allows the DVD player to be used around the house which has been useful on a couple of occassions.

Fantastic for log journeys, kept the kids quiet. This item doesn't play all DVD's very well, some of them jumped in the car or wouldn't work. It was a good price though and most of the DVD's do work on bumpy journeys.

I decided not to buy the item because after waiting 4 days for it to be delivered I contacted the seller who said that his daughter had made a mistake and sent it to someone else and I would have to wait another week for new stock to arrive. A refund was given after 2days of emailing the seller.

I loved this! It was packaged just like new and the instructions were there and everything! I found the price reasonable and the correspondance between me and the seller highly proffesional, too. Good player and resolutions but unforgivable design defects.

1. Car-kit is not designed to absorb vibrations on normal driving/road conditions. The main screen holders (screws) are not even accurately measured.

2. Plugs are supposed to be located below (when mounted) instead of side-to-side with both screens. I cannot tolerate with cables that are too visible. If the plugs at the correct position and with longer cables, the messy cables can be easily hidden under the carpet.

3. Region locked. Our money to protect others?

The mini DVD player was as described, and arrived very promptly after I had paid for it. Ebaying as it should be!!

Bought this to entertain our 4 year old on the 5 hour drives to Scotland that we have to see family. Absolutely brilliant, clear screens, fastens on to the head rests securely. Easy to follow instructions. Great buy, would highly recommend to anyone to entertain the kids while travelling.

This dvd player arrived well packaged with all the parts mentioned in the discription, we have a young son and this has been a life saver, we travel a lot and it has worked fine in all the countrys that we visit with no problems with local disks.
All in All we are very happy with the service provided by the seller.

i brough to eitams for xmas and on christmas day the one did not work and it was for my eight yaer old son so very upseting would like seller to contact me as cannot find out how to contact them
