The E-1 is what all my previous digitals should have been; I love it. It does what I tell it without offering silly user modes this user never uses. It's beautifully built and handles superbly. If I could add one thing it would be a swivelling screen. I used that a lot on other cameras. Don't let anyone tell you that 5Mp isn't enough - it's what you do with them that counts.
The FL20 is an ideal pocketable alternative to the rather naff built-in flashes on other bodies. It's not awfully powerful but is adequate for fill-in and so on.
The 14-54 is the perfect standard lens for me, as I spent years using a 28-105 on film. The only disadvantage I've found is that I've now started looking for extra lenses again; I thought I'd got over that . . .
Later on I must add that the E-1 proved a disappointment in that it had a body fault which would cost more to repair than the camera was worth. If buying used, therefore, check every function or get a warranty. It gets 5/5 when it's fully operational!
