Its not all Fred and Ginger as most people think.There were several others who shared the floor with Mr Astaire,but in my own opinion none have come close to Eleanor Powell. She was surely the finest female exponent of tap of the 20th century.This, combined with her other dancing skills and the inimatable Mr Astaire and some excellent support from the other cast members make this one of the greatest dance films. Forget the rather thin storyline,enjoy the quirky humour and the music,and thanks to Cole Porter,the most wonderful finale you will ever see..Buy it,borrow it or steal it. Youll never regret it.
