Action
I had this on video and wanted to replace it. I had seen the movie once when it first came out on the rounds. It was fantastic! It was shot in colour but the interesting thing is that the colour retained its spread throughout the movie and that is the same for the DVD
Lee Marvin has a cameo role and steals the movie - he is drunk, opens a bottle, stops (in fact steals the film) and then says a poem and then its action all the way.
It concerns a batch of stolen rifles being sold to a renegade white man who is in league with the natives. The natives are a combination of white men and Comanches - hence the title. There are some good twists and the dialogue is excellent, its not got US Cavalry but Texas Rangers which is even better
It was a summer film, released during the school holidays and there it is, caught in time - well worth buying
