Eva Cassidy - Songbird (CD 1998)

This has to be one of the best albums ever. Eva Cassidy's clear melodic voice haunts the soul.The Cd has an unforgettable selection of songs from someone who must be one of the greatest female singers of all time. Ever more special because Eva sadly died at a young age. A real tragedy.

I had this CD before I bidded for this one, but it had been played over and over and had become quite worn and a bit crackly by now. I therefore decided to look for another copy, as I still listen to the album at least a dozen times a week!

I just love Eva Cassidy, such a beautiful voice, this has to my favourite album ever. It makes me smile, cry, sing out loud and i always seem to be in the mood to listen to her. I have already got this CD and purchased another to keep in my car. Every home should have one.

Great album with all the best tracks. I love this album, just put it on whilst relaxing or cleaning the house, really chills you out and is so so easy to listen to. excellent all round cd.

When a friend told me to listen to the song over the rainbow' by eva cassidy i had never heard of her.Listening to the song blew my mind,her technique is so smooth but powerful.The cd is worth every penny and more.Such a pity this great talent is not with us any more.

I bought this CD as I have moved and cant find the first copy I purchased.
I had been humming some of the songs for sometime and needed to hear the album again.
Its a beautiful CD to listen to and great for winding down too (I often listen to it after dropping my daughter at nursery!)

I heard Eva singing "Somewhere over a Rainbow" as the background on a TV program, and was so struck by the quality of her voice, I went on to Ebay and bought the CD. It is one of my favourite CDs - the quality of her voice is amazing - I can't hear enough if it! Look forward to getting all her CDs in due course!

This is an excellent album from a very sadly missed artist of the highest calibur. I bought this album as a lasting reminder of her talent.

This is a really easy listening CD, a few songs are well known - Over The Rainbow, Songbird and Fields of Barley and sang beautifully.
I have given it a GOOD rating as a couple of the songs are a bit slow going and I tend to skip through them.

I brought this cd as it always been a favourite of mine and I was not dissapointed at all, I love it and play it a great deal. I would recomend this cd to others if they like this style of music.

I have only listened to three tracks so far, I will eventually get around to listening to the other. Eva wrote soe really good song, it's a pity that her life was cut down so young. RIP.

She has a really lovely singing voice and music style its the perfect album to have on in the background when you are doing the house work and ironing or just if you want to sit and chill out.

I was very happy winning this product, because I'm a big fan of Eva Cassidy and same cd was stolen from my car, so I've decided to replace it. Firstly I havent noticed anything wrong until today, when I put it on my laptop and instead of hearing a beautiful "Fields of gold" I've seen a porno scene. I'm really disgusted and I will not buy any more cd's from Ebay.

Fabulous cd, I lost my first copy so was pleased that I could replace it effortlessly.
Her voice is remarkable and her version of "Somewhere over the rainbow" is beautiful,

Eva Cassidy is a delight to the ears although i am not in to all the music on the cd her voice is amazing, songbird and fields of gold are definately my favorites. Her voice will live on forever.

I was thrilled when I saw this CD on ebay, if you have never listened to this singer please I beg you listen to the most beautiful voice you will have ever heard it just tears at your heartstrings especially her version of " Field of Gold " also " Somewhere over the Rainbow " no wonder Terry Wogan raved over her, it was him who made the British public aware of her voice through playing her records on Radio 2. I think this CD is one you should put on your list for Christmas you will love it, thanks, Doe

I purchased this particular CD because I had never heard of Eva Cassidy. My granddaughter entered a singing talent competition which she won singing Eva Cassidy's Songbirds. She sang it like an angel and I just had to buy the Cd to listen to Eva Vassidy after looking up her details on the Internet.
