A Star Is Born (DVD 2003)I didn't buy this item for me butI bought it for my nan and she loved it!! She's just broken her arm and was feeling a bit low so this dvd did the trick to make her smile.

) 'A Star Is Born'. A film starring Judy Garland and James Mason. This was bought for my father and he was more than pleased ( to say the least! )
It's safe to say that they don't make them like this anymore. Superb acting and superb singing from Judy Garland with James Mason( who always turns in a great performance every time ) cutting a rather sad figure. I don't want to give too much away so i suggest that you get a copy and watch it yourself, which is what i shall do again. A highly recommended film!

still shines like a star
) judy was a living legend and this explains why as it showcases her talents which were immense to a t,she is at her prime here and the babra streisand remake is one movie where streisand was not able to impress me as this was too good to compete with ,it is the best example of the star vicissitudes ,rivalries and a marriage on the rocks with wistful songs and dark humour which works as a multi-layered celebration of the battle of sexes as well as great musical,yet hollywood has yet to make a better retake on itself with this becoming a mocking satire ,
