Description

I think this is a bit of a man's film, for god's sake don't sit down to watch it with the wife and kids. You'll see more kills in this film than the next 300 you might watch, not to mention the serious maiming !
This true story centres on a crack army of 300 Spartans facing a huge Persian force, the Spartans gather in a small pass so their enemy can only advance a few at a time and boy they can work a sword !
I know this is over dramatised and although this did happen it didn't happen quite like this but that aside this Greek version of Zulu will not disappoint.

Based on the graphic novel by Frank Miller, 300 is a ferocious retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae, in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army. Facing insurmountable odds, their valour and sacrifice inspire all of Greece to unite against their Persian enemy, drawing a line in the sand for democracy. The film brings Miller's (Sin City) acclaimed graphic novel to life by combining live action with virtual backgrounds that capture his distinct vision of the ancient historic tale.
