Editorial Reviews Grips like a vice and doesn't let go for a single second. Horror movie of the year Zoo (08/13/2007)
A quarantine zone has been set up on the Isle of Dogs. The survivors from the 'Rage Virus' are protected by the US Army.
The film is largely centred around one particular family.
The 'authorities' believe the Rage Virus has been eliminated. Of course everyone bar them knows it has not. Cue some wicked graphic scenes of horror, blood and gore.
The story line is great. Special effects are fantastic.
Summary: a gripping gruesome horror film that ranks with the best of the 'undead zombie' movies. If you like this genre, this film is a must.
28 Weeks later is the hit sequel to the shocking 28 Days later and actually surpasses the original. The film centers on a family re-united by some returning refugees to a quarantined safe zone in London (the Isle of Dogs) and despite the best efforts of the U.S. army, events escalate to a thrilling climax. The sequels larger budget is clearly visible throughout the entire film and had some gorgeous special effects which help add to the tension and storyline.
Fans of the horror genre will find this a real treat with a high level of gore and sick moments which will satisfy even the most hardcore of fans and is not for the faint hearted.
Overall the films is an excellent sequel and will be a contender for best horror film of the year, absolutely superb!
