A British movie to be proud of

The script of this one fascinated me before I made my decision to see it. I knew it had potential. When I first saw this movie on the Big Screen I wondered how the hell the realistic scenes in London were shot, I couldn’t believe how they did it. I first saw this movie in my local cinema and could not understand how natural looking yet eerie the scenes were.
I thought they had employed some kind of special filters on the lenses or something yet there was also no evidence of CGI (you can always tell in that American high budget films cant you). The realism of this movie is superb. It turns out to be low budget and shot totally for real to the extent of spending ¼ million on blowing up a real petrol station for the movie! The unthinkable situation of a fatal virus virtually killing off mankind is well portrayed, so much so, that you just end up speechless, and gripped to the screen.
Dynamic fast cut motion photography, and musical theme backgrounds, enhance the eerie, frightening, unthinkable scenario depicted within this story. A British movie to be proud of and, in fact shot totally on Camcorders! Yes DV tape!!Even the philosophical aspects are well created by backlogs of cleaver snips that really make you think the unthinkable. It’s all about Survival, of course, Kill or be killed.
Pure Escapism of a very different kind, where luxury can never be taken for granted. You got to see it to appreciate your worst nightmare. Who knows? What we have in store, Eh? This special edition disc is a must have.
