24 - Series 3 - Complete (DVD 2004)

Season three again focuses on Jack Bauer, a government agent working for CTU (counter terrorist unit), this time attempting to prevent a deadly biological attack on the USA. An array of villans take Jack to Mexico and back, as well as leading him all over LA is an attempt to save innocent lives.
The story arcs are intricate and keep you guessing at every plot twist, and even when events reach improbable proportions it is difficult to not believe every second. I warn anyone who has not seen this yet, it is emotionally draining. There are so many cliffhangers and high-adrenaline moments, mixed with emotional scenes of loss and betrayal that makes it ESSENTIAL viewing for everyone.
I intended to watch an episode a day but after only a few episodes I realised that this would not be possible. One episode turned into two or three and I had to keep watching more and more. I finished watching this season in an 11 hour session as there was absolutely no way I could do anything else until I knew how it all was going to end.
WARNING: 24 is bad for relationships as you will not be able to leave the TV until it is over

I don't usually write reviews infact this is my first, quite frankly I find all seasons of 24 hard to get into at the start, but with perseverance they and the characters within grow on you and it really turns into something special. The first two seasons were superb in my opinion, the first being the better of the two, however, the third season is simply explosive for want of a better word!

This is a must see for fans and anyone else who is intrigued. Gripping and addictive from start to finish, Get it...You'll love it!

I had a bit of time on my hands one day and thought i'd give 24 (series 1) a try. The original plan was that the DVD would see me through several days of boredom before i started university. However, i was hooked from episode one and i just couldn't turn it off and it was all over inside a day! I didn't think series 2 could match the thrill but it did, and them some! I read some iffy reviews for the 3rd series, that it was rather weak, but i found it the most thrilling of them all! It may not have been as action-involving as the previous two series but it certainly takes you deeper, and i think this really heightens the experience. The directors don't just give you action and plot but bring you closer to each character and storyline.

We've moved from kidnapping to bomb threat and now to the potential release of a deadly virus. Followers of the series will know that the first few hours develop around an initial threat which always develop into something inter-related and deeper, but where the previous two gave clues, this series really keeps you on your toes. I would recommend this to anyone! Excellant! Roll on season 4!

This show is the best thing I have ever seen.
The action and tension are endless, and the stories are crafted intelligently.
Very rarely can you see where the plot is going to take you.
Everyone told me this was addictive. I thought how can a film or programme be so addictive?
The fact is, every episode leaves on something of a cliffhanger, and when you hear that familiar title music, you can't help but watch "just one more".
It makes shows like The Shield look pathetic in comparison.Yes they are quite different, but the standard of the writing and the magnetism of 24 is missing in The Shield, and many others.
I went out looking for other tv series after watching this, and nothing else compared.
I would recommend starting from season 1 and watching in chronological order to get the most from it.
Beware of the many cheap illegal Asian imports flooding Ebay at the moment.
They may be a bit cheaper, but the quality is markedly different and you are funding illegal crime and god knows what else by buying them.
MAKE SURE YOUR DVD IS A UK REGION 2 RETAIL VERSION.
If in doubt - ask them in no uncertain terms to clarify this. Any reasonable seller will be happy to dismiss your concerns.

As a big fan of the 24 series season 3 is as top notch as the last 2, if you have not seen this then i you are missing out 5/5

How do the writers do it? Once again they have produced a great new series of 24. If you liked the first 2 series, you are bound to like this!

Another fine season from Jack Bauer and co saving the world all over again. The way the series is shot draws you in. Shaking cameras and a live filming style make the whole thing adictive and complusive viewing.

If you are a 24 fan you will know what to expect and series three will not disappoint. If you are new to 24 start at series one and work your way through. You will not regret it!

Enjoy. There is nothing on tv worth watching.

I hadn't watched any of the series 24 and so have been buying the series box sets on Ebay. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and am currently on series 4. It certainly keeps you on the edge of you seat, and the good thing is buying the box sets you don't have to wait a week to watch the next episode. Yey! May you make many more Mr Sutherland :O)

What a great program. Jacks adventures continue to twist and turn and the series makers don't let us down with the script.
Love this series more than 1 & 2 and can't wait to get stuck in day 4.

if you have'nt already seen 24 it is well worth watching, compelling viewing!!, kiefer sutherland is excellent as jack bauer, excellent acting, likeable characters, funny one liners, great story lines, loads of twists and turns to keep you gripped and waiting for the next episode. if you do one thing this year its got to be watching this series.

I`ve hear alot about 24 in the past and finally got around in buying my first copy of 24 series one through ebay of course. I nearly sat down and watched the whole thing as it was that good, it was like a good book you could not put down. Since then I have now ended up buying all 5 series. Each series is a day in the life of Jack Bauer a field agent in the CTU {Counter Terrorist Unit} In series 3 Jack helps to imprison a head of a Mexican drug cartel. A plot ensures to blackmail the US Government with the release of a deadly Bio Weapon that will kill millions in the attempt to get the Mexican head released.Thats the plot will they succeed. Go and buy it it`s well worth the money.

Riveting from the first second to the last. Keifer rules. If only the world was governed by President Palmer. We would all be happy. Fantastic show. DVD box set of all five is sooooooooo worth it, but as a starter the first three will get ya hooked.

I loved this series of 24, jam packed with all the usual action and suspense. Any 24 fan must definitely buy it, and anyone who is not already a fan should buy it to become one! Personally, I'd suggest that someone who has not seen the previous seasons watch them in order first, as there are areas which carry on from the previous series, as well as the basis for 24 is really laid down in the first series. Basically, get them all, you'll love them!

I purchased the Series 24 as it is undoubtably the best ever drama/action series to hit the television. But i have made a couple of purchases on Ebay that have been far from satisfying. The quality of the product and also the speed it arrived was second to none. This has renewed my Faith in Ebay.

this boxset of 24 is by far the best. i absolutely loved it and have to admit, by the 4th hour i was hooked. i am now a recovering kieferoholic!!!!! definately one to buy!!

OH MY GOD!!!! This show just getts better and better!!! If you liked the first 2 then your gonna love this one!!!The story line is brilliant and the acting is first rate!!!! Thisis a must have!!

this one of the best tv shows ever made i watched it and enjoyed 10/10 well worth a watch i did and i could not switch it off edge of your seat thrill great stuff.

Purchased it for my daughter. She had watched and enjoyed "24 series 2" so as a present I obtained a copy this the 3rd in the series.

DO NOT BUY the 24 Series of dvds unless you have a lot of time on your hands or DO NOT want a social life!
The other half and I rented the first dvd from season one on a whim as we thought it might be interesting! Since then, we have watched episodes back to back (sometimes not stopping watching until we have fallen asleep at 2 in the morning!) 4 weeks later and we are just waiting for season 5 to be delivered as we have devoured the previous 120 hours of seasons 1-4 already!
Seriously addictive and awesome! God knows what we will do when we have gotten caught up! 24 The Game anyone?
