24 - Series 1-3 - Complete (DVD 2004)

This was sold as 100% genuine. Arrived 3 weeks later, and didn't look right. Looked it up on FACT... piracy site and found out that it was a counterfeit! The SID codes were scrathed off on the back. And no booklet, no plastic cases for the dvds... all signs of counterfeit... and the fact it had chinese writing on them. Still yet to receive any money back!

I bought this for my father or as part of his xmas box I had been looking at them in hmv annd thy were double the price only 1 series had been opened and they are in perfect condtion.

Absolutley Fabulous, I could'nt of wished for a better box set, Keifer Sutherland is just brilliant, but it does make you wonder and it does open your eyes to what actually goes on behind closed doors of the Government.

For all you 24/jack bauer fans, this dvd set is a must have, the fact that you can watch all the episodes at once is fantastic, dont have to wait another week anymore for jacks earth saving adventures, one of the best tv series that i have seen in a long time.

The series was recommended to us, and we started off by buying series 1. It just wasn't enough. The plots, characters and acting are all flawless. We wanted to have the opportunity to view more, and spent days watching several episodes back-to-back. The boxed set let us do just that - without adverts. We're really pleased - both with the product itself and the quality of the set. Fantastic viewing - at a great price.

24 is one of those programmes that is very good to watch as marathon, but not one which i feel would be up to scratch if i had to wait week to week to see its story unfold. not alot happens in each episode to make me want to wait for prolonged periodes of time to find out what happens next. but to watch it a few episodes at a time over a short periode of time, its a great gap filler !!

When the announcement that 24 would be on TV for at least 7 years was made, how did the Production company handle the news?

"Quick, lets bleed as much money from the public as we can. There are gonna be seven seasons, so lets pack the forst three together and sell them as a pack."

The only thing worse than selling a movie trilogy box set when there is a fourth movie in the cinema (Die Hard, I'm talking to you) is when a TV series is sold in collections like this:

Season 1 & 2
Season 1, 2, & 3
Season 1 - 4 (Yes they expanded it, and yet still sell the original 1-3 box)
Season 1 - 5 (This is worthy of a spot in Hell)
Season 1 - 6 (Oh, now you're just taking the p***)

There have been more annoucements since then. Namely that the series will carry on at least until season 8, and that there will be a 24 movie produced after season 7.

All I can say is, this is a great TV show, but don't bother with the season collections until the series has run its course. Buy them seperately instead, available from many sellers on EBAY at bargain prices.

After just finishing series 6 of this, I have to say it is one of the best TV show I have ever watched. It had me hooked from series one, episode one, right the way though to the end of series 6, and I can't wait for series 7 to begin in Jan 2008. I would recommend this to anybody that was looking for something to watch as I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Overall, WELL WORTH WATCHING :)
