13 Going On 30 (DVD 2004)

It is 1987 and Jenna is a 13-year-old girl on the brink of womanhood. The problem is that adulthood is just not arriving fast enough! She’s suffocated by her dorky parents, ignored by the hip kids in school and the cute guy she has a crush on barely knows her name.

No longer content to spend time only with her best friend and neighbour, Matt Flamhaff, Jenna invites the cool kids to her 13th birthday party which turns into a disaster. Jenna is humiliated when she’s locked in the closet for a game of ’Seven Minutes In Heaven’ and everyone deserts her. Alone in the closet, Jenna makes an earnest wish. If only she could be all grown up, she’d have the life she’s always wanted...

The next day, when Jenna emerges from the closet, it’s 2004 and she’s 30 years old. What’s more, she is a gorgeous successful woman with a great job and a fabulous Fifth Avenue apartment. She is finally cool and popular. The only hitch? She has absolutely no idea how she got there! Initially frightened but gradually enchanted by her new life, Jenna soon realizes there’s something missing--Matt. When she looks him up, she is horrified to discover that she and Matt are no longer in contact and, furthermore, he is engaged to be married. Jenna learns that ’having it all’ is not enough and decides to take a second chance at first love...

great and funny. especially for all the family. my both children and their friends adore this film. most enjoyable.

Its a easy to watch film with lots of reminders of your own youth if your around 25, some good 80's rock, love that Pat Benetar - love is a battlefield songs in it. Great actors too. Overall a fab chick flick.

Got this for my daughter and she absolutely loves it. Real girly girl movie, not really the stuff guys would like.

A girlie version of BIG, the Tom Hanks movie, but one the whole family can enjoy. Whilst on holiday with my parents, sister & her children, my niece put this film on. Although, busy with the baby, I did not get to see it, I know everyone else thoroughly enjoyed it, in particular my eldest son, aged eleven. I therefore bought the DVD on a last minute bargain for him. When it arrived I put it on to check it was ok, sometime later I found I had watched the whole film & thoroughly enjoyed it myself!

I love the way that this film is so light and happy :) The actors for the characters are fanastic and Jennifer Gardener really adds life to her character, and able to change moods so easly. A truley excellent proformance. The music is great to dance around to, including Rick Springfield.

Item arrived quickly and was as describe. Purchased because good feedback, and seemed to be a reliable seller. A+++

I absolutely loved this film. We watched it on Sky Channel a while ago half way through and loved it so wanted to buy the film to watch it all. Its very very funny. My Daughter who is 9 years old thought it was brill too. Definately worth watching for a girls night in.

This film is very good because its such a girly film, i love the way jennifer garner still acts like a 13 girl when she wakes up 30. And i love the storyline, in the way that 'what you want to acheive when your older isnt always what you expect, like jenna found out, she woke up 30 and found out that she became what she wanted which was to work for her favorite magazine but she was back-stabbing, sleeping with someone's husband, and didnt bother with her parents so bascially she wasnt a very nice person, so when she woke back up 13 she realizes that what she wanted isnt what she wants at all!

A lovely film for the whole family to watch . What a change from all the sex and violence, Its about a young girl making a wish to be 30 on the night of her 13th birthday . Some might call it a chick flick but i enjoyed it.

Excellent film, reminds me of my teenage years in the 80's, it's a feel good chick film that enjoy with my mate.

me and my daughter (8) have watched this loads of times and still love it , it's a great girly film which is entertaining and i just love the songs they play it soooo reminds me if beung young.

i decided to buy this dvd because our vhs tape of the film had got chewed up in the machine and we couldnt live without seeing it again when we have out little girly nights with sweets and oj's are on it's just fab !!!!

A great little movie for a night in with the girls, when it's raining out, this movie makes the sun shine again. A romantic, feel good, warm glow movie. This is my second copy, gave a lone to my friend, never got back. Would highly recommend.

It looks brand new. I love the film its self, great film. I brought it because its such a great film that i just had to have it on dvd!!!!

Love this movie, its about a 13 year old who wants to be 30, then as if by magic...she is! But still with the mind of a 13 year old! Its a really funny film, i've watched it dozens of times!

When I first saw a trailer for this movie I was disgusted! I just as I saw it as a modern day rip off of the great film Big, starring Tom Hanks. I don't remember how or why I watched the film but it is the best film, EVER! I love it. It it funny, quirky, love Jennifer Garner's outfits (hope I look like her when I'm 30) and it's soooo romantic. This is THE perfect chick-flick. Just thinking about it makes me all giggly and my heart skip with emotional bliss. I love this film, it makes me all warm and squishy inside. My recommendation is . . . BUY BUY BUY!

i expected it to be a general funny romatic girl comedy.

Its not funny and it can get boring.

Glad to have watched cus now its passed, wouldnt watch it agen.

Where do I start with this. I wont, even the kids walked out within the 1st 20 minutes (and thats never happened and they watch some serious drivel)

This film is great if you were a fan of BIG in the 80's like me!

It is Jenna's 13th Birthday and she longs to be 30, her wish is granted and she wakes up in her appartment, she is 30, a magazine editor and soon discovers being 30 isnt quite what she expected!

This film is full of laughs, great music, has a brilliant cast and has a fantastic ending.

I decided to buy this film because I am a huge Mark Ruffalo fan. I wasn't disappointed, it's one of his best. Brilliant film. Funny and moving, great performances by both Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo. Jennifer's character, Jenna, wakes up after her 13th birthday to find she's skipped 17 years. She finds out what her life is like when she gets everything she dreamed of when she was 13, only to find she underestimated the importance of some people in her life. Well written and poignant.

Obviously these DVDs aren't originals, however they are the darn best copies I have ever come across. They look excellent, the art work, graphics on the disc etc, plus they work in my DVD player which never plays copies.
Have used and will continue to us again! Thanks :)
